The Family of William and Mary Argyle Jackson is a 433 page hardbound book compiled and edited by Robert B. (Bob) Jackson and James F. (Jim) Jackson. The purpose of the book is to tell the story of one William Jackson, his wife Mary Argyle and their descendants. The objective is not just to provide names and dates, but rather to convey the challenges, successes, joys, and struggles of this large extended family. We hope to capture something of the motivation, beliefs, and values that shaped their lives. To accomplish this, we have included a large number of biographies, autobiographies, journal entries, newspaper articles, and other available material. We have also included hundreds of photographs that put faces with many of the names.
By way of perspective, the compilers of this book, Bob and Jim are great grandsons of Mary Argyle and William Jackson. Their father, Allyn Boyd Jackson, was the son of William Robert Jackson, the son of William Jackson, the son of Mary Argyle and William Jackson.
